Your host began dancing as a girl in her hometown of San Francisco. Passionate about dance, she carries on the legacy of her teachers, Greek sisters, Anastasia & Phaedra. Her emotive and passionate style is all improvised in each moment on stage. She currently teaches, coaches, and performs in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

Amalia will be joined on stage at the end of her set by some of her students for some improvisational dancing
Cynthia is a General Skills Certified Fat Chance Bellydance performer and instructor in the greater Bucks County, PA and NJ area. She has been studying this style for thirteen years, and will be obtaining her Certified Studio credentials in November. Cynthia has also continued to study various other styles of dance, including Egyptian folkloric, Salimpour Method, and most recently fusion, with Jill Parker and Jesse Stainbridge.
Flamenco Fusion Belly Dance
Troupe Hayati is a multi-award winning professional dance group based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania specializing in Raqs Sharqi (belly dance). Formed in 2008, Troupe Hayati is well known for their powerful performances and glamorous costumes. Each member of the troupe is trained in the Art of Middle Eastern Dance and brings a diverse skill set to the stage providing dynamic and energetic performances.
India Rose a NJ based dancer with almost a decade of bellydance experience. Over the past four years, she has trained and performed with the raqs sharqi troupe, Raks Al Zahra in NYC and Puerto Rico. India Rose is passionate about dances around the world and is also trained in Tahitian dance and Brazillian samba.

Farasha is a performer, teacher and vendor from Burlington, New Jersey. She was a former member of Morocco’s Casbah Dance Experience in New York and currently she is the artistic director of the Mystic Moonlight Dancers in New Jersey. Farasha co-produces dance events with Su'ad in New Jersey and Connecticut. Farasha sells Bodacious Bling at dance events and online at farasha.com. Check out her Bling at today's hafla
A local dance artist, Nuria is a lifelong dancer who started her bellydance journey 15 years ago. A lover of improvisational dance who has studied arts such as raqs sharqi, Afro-Caribbean dance, and flamenco, Nuria brings their unique blend of dance influences and their passionate spirit into every performance. Each time they grace the stage, they strive to surrender to the moment and bring their audience along in their journey through music and movement.
Meesha’s passion for Arabic music ignited her love for dance at an early age. Growing up in a vibrant Lebanese-American household in South Philadelphia, she was immersed in Middle Eastern rhythms, especially within her family’s renowned Lebanese restaurant—a hub of culture and celebration. This rich environment shaped her deep connection to belly dance, an art she embodies with raw emotion and improvisational grace. Proudly embracing her heritage, Meesha has mesmerized audiences worldwide, performing and teaching across concert halls, international festivals, museums, and grand celebrations, where she brings the soul of Middle Eastern dance to life with every movement.
Raqs Sharqi
Ramya began belly dancing in 2013 and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, she danced regularly with Sahara Dance studio in DC, participating in performance classes whenever possible. After moving to Philly in 2022, she continued her dance education through Habiba Studio in Center City. Growing up, she learned a bit of Bollywood dance and hip hop and now especially loves fusion belly dances that incorporates other dance styles.
The artists of the Mid East Ensemble are the top Middle Eastern musicians in the Philadelphia area. At the showcase we will be joined by Joseph Tayoun, William Tayoun, and Roger Mgrdichian.
Delicious Greek food will be available from Traditional Greek Sweets. Homemade Greek entrees and desserts. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available. as well as a selection of beverages.
When she isn't dancing, Amalia has a business importing quality Turkish Textiles. 25% of the sales from this event will go to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
